Lake Geneva Shore Path App allows users to experience an interactive journey along the Geneva Lake Shore Path. A post shared by Lake & Country Magazine (@lakeandcountrymag) Prior to an all-day business meeting, I walked the Lake Shore Path near Linn for about 40 minutes (20 minutes out and 20 back). It is recommended to walk it in sections, using a few public access points in Lake Geneva, Fontana, Williams Bay and at Big Foot Beach State Park. It's a map and guide that breaks the path into 7 separate walks ranging from 2 to 3.5 miles. I know there is not a parking lot at Chapin Road, but is there street parking or is it posted no parking? Cold and blustery today but a beautiful trail. This drastically decreases the width of path, in many sections only 2 feet wide, making it impossible to social distance. FYI The walk from Williams Bay to Fontana is 4 miles.if you want a shorter hike. Deafly want to come back to finish the whole trail. The shore line of Geneva Lake is approximately 21miles, but the path reaches up to almost 26 miles as it weaves in and out of wooded areas along the shoreline. A stroll along Geneva Lake Shore Path is a must when you're in the city! The route is beautiful, the homes are spectacular. Asyou enjoy a walk along the lake's shore, you'll be mesmerized by the clear blue waters of the lake and the tranquility of sailboats, excursion boats and even antique vessels as they glide across the pristine waters. We also took the mail boat cruise and watched the mail jumper run a half mile or so of the path at near marathon speed to deliver to addresses where the lake was too shallow and docks too close for the boat to navigate. Start walking at 8 or 8:30 a.m.; pickup time is 11:45 a.m. Love it. The owner walked outside when we were passing by, however, and joked that he calls it the giant mortgage house.. Some of the most spectacular homes can be seen along a three-and-a-half mile segment starting from the Lake Geneva public beach and moving counter-clockwise around the lake to Chapin Road. Use a restroom before beginning a shoreline walk. Nestled among the trees is this Geneva Lake mansion. Awesome! Know of another magical hike? The path meanders along the lakeshore, crossing front lawns of historic estates, marinas, beaches and public parks. Bicycles, skates/skateboards and motorized vehiclesare not permitted on the Shore Path.
